Mediation and Counseling Services are available in all languages. “How can that be?” you ask. One client brought her adult daughter to divorce mediation who translated the process into Mandarin. Another client, from Hungary, brought his close friend and colleague into estate mediation to translate. He signed a confidentiality agreement. That turned out to almost be more than we all bargained for, but we achieved resolution and a signed Agreement. A third client spoke Portuguese and broken English. She hired a professional translator for brief psychotherapy with her husband.
Of course, the third party is an intrusion into a couple’s privacy. It can’t be helped if the parties in question cannot find a provider who speaks their language and also English. Where there is a will, there is a way. It has been done!
